Our regular schedule of events is on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will plan in-person, outdoor events as we are able to moving forward.
All LELT events will take current guidance from state and local officials into consideration in order to protect the health of everyone in our community. Precautions may include physical distancing, limiting the number of participants, required pre-registration, and wearing masks. All events are subject to cancellation and/or changes.

Hike for Mental Health
March 9, 2019 –
Join Loon Echo staff at Bald Pate Mountain to discuss and reflect on how time outside can encourage positive mental health and well-being. This hike is brought to you in partnership with Bring Change 2 Mind, a Lake Region community campaign focused on encouraging conversation to build understanding and acceptance of mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Master Naturalist Leigh Hayes will be on hand to point out all the subtle signs of spring that can be missed in the gray days of March. We hope you will join us to experience or share your own story about the power of nature for positive well-being! Traction devices may be required. Pondicherry Lunch Walk

Pondicherry Park, Bridgton
The group will decide on a route based on ability, interest level, and time constraints. Attend one walk or come every time, it’s up to you! Meet at the Depot St Parking Lot Kiosk at 12:30pm. RSVP required (email Maggie at firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please Note: Masks are required, as physical distancing can sometime be difficult along the trail. Exemptions will be made for those with medical conditions.
Sunset Concert with Bruce Marshall

Narramissic Farm, Bridgton
We’re excited to welcome back – again!- local (and LELT) favorite Bruce Marshall for a third Acoustic Sunset concert. A tireless performer with great originals, an expressive, soulful voice and accompanying guitar style on acoustic and steel dobro, he’s earned a reputation as one of New England’s best. Bruce has opened for the likes of BB King and most recently, Jay Leno.
Bring chairs, blankets, and a picnic! Music starts at 5:30pm
Suggested donation: $10/person. You may donate online at registration or at the event. Donations are non-refundable. Proceeds to benefit Narramissic & Peabody-Fitch Woods.
Hawk Migration Watch – Canceled

Hacker’s Hill Preserve, Casco
Dick Anderson, former Director of the Maine Audubon, brings his enthusiasm for the southern hawk migration back to Hacker’s Hill. The ideal conditions for migrating hawks are a northwest breeze with clear skies. Bring your comfy chair, binoculars, water and snacks. In the past, many species of hawks have been observed along with bald eagles and osprey. Please park in the “Event Parking” area to the right of the summit.
Trek for the Trails
Any LELT Preserve
Run, walk, hike, bike, skip or drive- all on your own time and to support the trails you love! You’ll have all of September to complete your Trek. All Trekkers are encouraged to document their Trek with a selfie or video, as well as raise money from friends and family to support the trails they love.
