Sebago Headwaters Preserve
Sebago Headwaters Preserve, located in Bridgton and Naples, was developed in partnership with the Lakes Environmental Association (LEA) and was mainly funded by the State of Maine’s Land for Maine’s Future Program and donations from supporters of our Lakes Region Legacy campaign to protect both Pleasant Mountain and lands in the Sebago Headwaters.
The preserve encompasses lands from Bald Pate Mountain in Bridgton to LEA’s Holt Pond Preserve, and extends down the Muddy River towards Sebago Lake.
Since 2001, Loon Echo purchased 359 acres to add to the Bald Pate and Holt Pond Preserves. The project, when completed, will consist of 2,500 acres.
Directions to the Sebago Headwaters Preserve: Currently, the entry points into this preserve are located at the Bald Pate Preserve and Holt Pond Preserve, with the Town Farm Brook Trail connecting the two preserves.
