6-mile Hike Trek: Brian in split rock
A Trek designed for those who would rather hike than bike. Get shuttled over to the Southwest Ridge trailhead and hike to the summit of Pleasant Mountain, with breathtaking views of the White Mountains and a rest stop station with water and snacks. Trek over the forested ridge and descend via the Bald Peak Trail and take the shuttle back to Shawnee Peak. This is a 6 mile hike (4.5 to 6 hours)- challenging and fun for the whole family! Shuttle service to and from Shawnee Peak every 20 minutes. BBQ or veggie meal (included in registration) upon return.   Check-in and departure from 8 to 10 AM.

BIKE TREKS

The bike routes are signed and the roads are painted at all turns and intersections. There are seven rest stops along the route (all have water; four have energy snacks, gatorade and porta-toilets). Four safety vehicles and an ambulance patrol the route looking for stranded or injured riders. Volunteer Ham Radio Operators are stationed at the rest stops with high-tech communication equipment. BBQ or veggie meal (included in registration) upon return.
 
25-mile Bike Trek:
Designed for the novice cyclists trying their first big ride.  Experience beautiful mountain views, meadows, and the Saco River to the turning point near Stow.  A few hills but mostly gently rolling terrain. Ride from Shawnee Peak up Knight’s Hill Rd. to Lovell to the Fryeburg Rest Stop (mile 12) and return the way you came.  Check-in 8 AM to 10 AM. Depart at 10 AM08 shot rider in Evans

50-mile Bike Trek: A little more mileage for the weekend warrior cyclists. Continue past the
25-milers on to the White Mt. National Forest Basin and return the way you came. A few more hills to climb! Ride from Shawnee Peak up Knight’s Hill Rd. to Lovell, through Fryeburg and back.
Check-in 8 AM to 10 AM. Depart at 10 AM


100-mile Trek: This is the toughest century in the state with plenty of hill climbs and winding roads. The route reaches 1,600 feet at its top elevation, with a
1,200 foot vertical descent through Evans Notch in the White Mountain National Forest (Rt. 112). Ride the route clockwise from Shawnee Peak to Sweden, Waterford, Albany, Bethel and down Evans Notch to Fryeburg and back to Shawnee Peak.
Check-in 7 AM to 8 AM. Depart at 8 AM.
