2013 Hacker’s Hill Climb Results
The 2nd Annual Hacker’s Hill Climb was held on August 8th and was a huge success. Runners from the ages of 13 to 67 came out to challenge themselves by competing on the four-mile hilly course that ended atop Hacker’s Hill. A new course record was set by Kyle Rhoads of Windham who finished in 24:49, crushing the previous record by nearly four minutes. The first place female finisher also crushed the course record by 14 minutes! Laura Campbell of New Gloucester flew up the hill and finished in 27:18. Placing first in the under 18 division was 14 year old Vincent Russo of Poland who crossed the finish line in only 32:16. Complete results can be found below.
A huge thank you goes out to all the local businesses who donated prizes, food and drink for this event, to all the volunteers who donated their time and enthusiasm, and to the runners who met the challenge. Thanks also to Don from Maine Running for taking over 400 photos. They can be found on the Maine Running Photos Facebook page.
