Monday, April 22nd, 2024 marks the 54th anniversary of Earth Day. The celebration of Earth Day has inspired people around the world to protect our planet and build meaningful connections with nature. We can all take actions to ensure that our earth is resilient and beautiful for future generations.

Earth Day Hike

Monday, April 22, 11:30am - 1pm | Bald Pate Mountain, BridgtonAn annual tradition, celebrate Earth Day with a trek to the rocky summit of Bald Pate Mountain. Bring a picnic lunch if you wish! Register here.

Wednesday Wander

Wednesday, April 24, 10am - Noon | Location TBDVernal pool and wetland explorations led by Maine Master Naturalists. Move slowly through the woods learning about the wonderous world of wetlands and spring forests. Learn more and register here.

Act

  • Go for a walk with gloves and a bag & pick up any trash you see. Be sure to wear a bright color or a safety vest, and be mindful of sharp objects. Safety first, always!
  • Spend time outdoors. Share your experience with your friends on social media. Tag the land trust or land steward that helps you access your special place.
  • Survey and remove invasive plants from your property.
